After initially creating the concept of the EP while in the psych ward in Hobart, along with writing the lyrics for several of the tracks on the EP, such as "The Reign Of The Jester" and "Box And Bow Me", Mr Gochi began the creation of what would eventually be the final EP at his sharehouse in North Hobart. During this time, he was still struggling signifigantly with his mental health, though through channeling all the negative energy into his music he was able to keep a tentative hold on his sanity until several weeks later when he completely lost his marbles, packed up and left Hobart for Queensland to be close to people capable of supporting him through his struggles, and was admitted to yet another psych ward in queensland. During this time, he wrote the remainder of the tracks off the EP, including Wet Grass, which was an ode to being given a moment of freedom outside of the ward to hang with his brother and lie in the grass in the rain and chat. A very freeing moment amongst the chaos that had uprooted his life in the previous few months. Using a guitar that hung around the ward, and an app on his phone, he crafted ideas for the instrumentals, and applied the lyrics he had thus far to the concepts he had created.

Lying on the hospital floor with a lack for reality, and music dancing around his head was the catalyst for what would become the final version of the EP that I am excited to share with you on September 18th, 2024.
